Read the whole story Contact the Company Company Website
Launched at this month's Counter Terror Expo exhibition, defence
systems specialist J&S Franklin has introduced the DefenCell Profile
300 lightweight earth/sand filled barrier protection system. Developed
with geosynthetic materials supplier Terram, it's already been supplied
to the US, UK and several other European governments. Rapidly deployable, Profile 300 is described as strong, durable,
compact and non-metallic. J&S Franklin says it offers a variety of
permanent and temporary protection for perimeter security, HVM barriers,
blast mitigation and ballistic protection. Profile 300's claimed
advantages over other barrier systems include its one-man portability,
relative weight (it's said to be up to 10 times lighter than comparable
products), and its compact transport volume requirements. Moreover,
being non metallic, with no cages or hinges involved, there is no
secondary shrapnel or communications interference, the company adds. |
