AMG Delivers Transmission Solution for Oman LNG Plant
Guardian-Lite™ 3700 forms the backbone of the Security & Surveillance Solution for the Sultanates strategic Liquid Natural Gas plant and shipping facility in Qalhat.
AMG Systems Ltd. announces that they have supplied the digital, uncompressed transmission solution for the Oman LNG plant in Qalhat near Sur. The Plant covers a massive 6 sq km and has facilities for off-loading, a 500 metre long NGL loading jetty with single NGLs loading arms as well as a LNG jetty of 430 metres with three loading arms and one gas return arm.
The project for the comprehensive Security & Surveillance system was won as a turnkey project by Majees Technical Services LLC – a turnkey solutions provider based in Oman who specializes in the areas of Fire & Security, Telecoms, Oil & Gas, Vehicle Tracking and Civil Contracting. Majees already had an impressive track record of delivering turnkey security solutions within the Oil & Gas industry.

Global Security and Defense Leaders EADS and Thales Confirm Participation in ISNR
Abu Dhabi, December 06, 2009 – Organizers of International Security National Resilience Exhibition and Conference Abu Dhabi (ISNR Abu Dhabi) have confirmed the participation of global security key leaders EADS and Thales.

Dedicated Micros - part of AD Group - is launching an advanced CamVu ICR (Integrated Camera Recorder). This revolutionary concept combines a megapixel or standard IP camera with a powerful enterprise class video server - all in one compact package - to deliver robust, failsafe, local recording and video management at the edge of a customer’s network.
Available with megapixel, VGA or analogue resolution, the CamVu ICR offers one day of full rate recording thanks to 32GB of onboard solid state storage provided by a microSD card or similar.
In addition, the CamVu ICR has the potential to access further tiered storage, including a locally connected SATA drive via ATA over Ethernet (AoE). Using the AoE protocol allows the highly-secure, point-to-point, transfer of video files to a separate storage device, for backup and long-term archiving. A key point is that this can continue to operate, even in the event of complete failure of the TCP/IP architecture and network infrastructure.

Arecont Vision announces new compact cameras with MegaFlash™ technology
Arecont Vision compact cameras using MegaFlash™ technology can capture megapixel-quality snapshots using a high-speed shutter synchronized with an external strobe light for license plate recognition (LPR) and intelligent transportation system (ITS) applications. The cameras can capture images of vehicles travelling up to 100 miles per hour (160 km/hour).
“Megapixel CMOS cameras provide exceptional frame-rate and image clarity benefits for license plate recognition. However, the use of CMOS megapixel camera technology in LPR and ITS applications has been impeded by its inability to synchronize with a flash strobe, due to the lack of global shutter in conventional CMOS sensors.
